Dr. Annie Gharakhani is a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY 28959) working in the state of California. Dr. Annie Gharakhani was born and raised in Glendale, California. She attended Chamlian Armenian School, Crescenta Valley High School, and Glendale Community College before transferring to the University of California, Los Angeles. There, she earned her Bachelors in Psychology and Minor in Armenian Studies. After completing a research fellowship, she attended Pepperdine University to receive her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr. Annie concluded her education at the California School of Professional Psychology by receiving her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2014.
Dr. Annie completed both her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at university settings. Afterwards, she began work at Pacific Clinics. As a therapist on the birth to five years old team, Dr. Annie became well acquainted with helping little ones and their families. Since then, she has moved into a supervisory role at PC.
Being a child of the community she now lives in, Dr. Annie has a personal goal of decreasing the stigma of therapy in her Armenian community. She is an active member of several nonprofit organizations, and is a proud Armenian-American. She is a firm believer of "it takes a village" and is ready to be part of your village.
Dr. Annie's strengths lie in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can decompress and be able to focus on their own development. Dr. Rebecca Terzian is a Registered Psychological Assistant (#PSB94026017) practicing psychotherapy in the state of California. Dr. Terzian was a professional Rhythmic Gymnast and later continued her passion for athletics through coaching gymnastics. Her life as an athlete and coach led to her passion of pursuing a career in Psychology.
Dr. Terzian received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Woodbury University. Post Bachelors, she received her Master’s Degree in 2016 and in 2018 earned her Doctorate Degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. Throughout her doctorate program, Dr. Terzian grew an infinite passion for research focused on self-care and quality of life of individuals. In addition to her clinical work, she implements psychoeducation about self-care/self-compassion in order to enhance overall well-being.
Dr. Terzian received training in psychological assessment, and further enhanced her skills at her internships. She completed both doctoral internships at Pacific Clinics in Community Mental Health. As a senior clinician at Pacific Clinics, she worked with children, adolescents, emerging adults, adults, siblings, and families. In her approach to therapy, Dr. Terzian utilizes a strengths-based approach and strives to create a safe space for clients to learn about themselves and strive to reach their personal goals. She celebrates small wins and continuously highlights strengths and abilities. Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: Children, Adolescents, Emerging Adults, Adults, Family and Siblings, Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Life Transitions, Crisis Management, and Self-Care.
Dr. Tatiana Pinkley is a Registered Psychological Assistant (#PSB94027791) practicing psychotherapy in the state of California. She was raised in the San Fernando Valley and had an interest in becoming a film editor before attending college. After taking an introduction to psychology class in college, she decided to shift her career path towards becoming a therapist and working with children. Dr. Pinkley received a
Bachelor’s degree in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University Northridge. She then decided to start a new adventure in Hillsboro, Oregon and pursue her Master’s Degree at Pacific University School of Graduate Psychology in 2015. Following completion of her Master’s degree, she returned to California to begin her Doctoral program at Pepperdine University, from which she graduated in 2023. Throughout both her Master’s and Doctoral training, Dr. Pinkley was passionate about working with Spanish-speaking clients and helping to remove some of the stigma mental health services and topics have in the Latine community. She also received training and supervision in administering neuropsychological assessments in Spanish. She completed her pre-doctoral internship with the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health-Specialized Foster Care in South Los Angeles, where she
worked with children and families who had open cases with DCFS and would benefit from mental health services. During her pre-doctoral internship, she also had the opportunity to interview adults with a
variety of diagnoses to ensure they could receive services they needed at a local community mental health clinic in South Los Angeles.
Growing up in a multicultural family, culture is important to Dr. Pinkley, especially since one’s cultural background is a large component in making someone who they are. When working with clients, she uses a client-centered approach, taking into account all of the aspects that make a person who they are. Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: children, adolescents, emerging adults, adults, life transitions, LGBTQ+ community, depression, anxiety, and trauma. She is able to provide services in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Maryam Awad is a Registered Psychological Assistant (#PSB94028245) practicing psychotherapy in the state of California. Dr. Awad was born and raised overseas in the Middle East and speaks fluent Arabic in addition to English. She immigrated to the U.S. at age 17 when she started college in the U.S. Dr. Awad received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Biology from University of California, Irvine. She then decided to continue her career of becoming a psychologist as her passion for this career grew more. Dr. Awad concluded her education at the Azusa Pacific University by receiving her doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2022.
Dr. Awad completed both her internship and postdoctoral fellowship at Pacific Clinics in Community Mental Health. Then, she began working independently as a PA. Dr. Awad received intensive training in Psychological Testing, Psychodynamic therapy, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy. She is very interested in Psychodynamic therapy and enjoys blending aspects of the psychodynamic perspective into solution-focused perspectives. Her areas of expertise include, but are not limited to: children, adolescents, emerging adults, adults, Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Life Transitions, Addiction, Crisis Management, and Self-Care. She is able to provide services in both English and Arabic.
As a first-generation immigrant, Dr. Awad understands the process of immigration and believes that her personal experience allows her to provide a unique perspective and support to clients. She is hopeful that she can help remove the stigma around mental health services and topics in our community.
